Last week I tried an AI tool for transcribing client meeting notes. It completely butchered industry specific terms and missed three key action items because of someone's mild accent. I ended up spending just as much time fixing the transcript as I would have typing brief notes myself. The tech still can't catch subtle context or tone that changes the whole meaning. Sometimes the old way is just more reliable.

Hear you loud and clear, @holly_jones29. I had the same mess with a transcription app for a project update call. It mangled basic tech terms into nonsense and skipped over two critical changes because of a soft speaker. Correcting all its mistakes took me longer than just typing notes from scratch would have. The tool totally missed when someone was joking, which made parts of the summary sound off. You just can't replace picking up on those little cues that change what people really mean. My notebook and a pen never let me down like that.
