At a backyard barbecue, the smart home system turned the lights off unexpectedly.
I saw how AI is built into our daily lives. When it misheard a toast as 'lights out,' we were suddenly in the dark. It was funny once we got over the surprise.

Honestly though, is that even a problem? It's just a dumb little glitch. Tech fails all the time, my phone's voice assistant mishears me constantly. You just turn the lights back on and move on. People act like every little bug is a sign of some bigger doom. It's just an annoying gadget, not a serious threat.

Yeah you just turn them back on, but I learned to say "lights on" way slower and clearer after my third return at work for the same issue. It actually helps.
