Dropped $120 on an AI scheduling tool for my nursing shifts, mixed feelings
Since I work nights at a hospital near Tampa, I got one of those AI roster apps that predicts busy periods and shift gaps. Cost me $120 for the year and it did flag two understaffed Thursdays that caught everyone off guard, so I saved myself some panic. But the rest of the time it just repeats what the charge nurse already knows, and the sleep pattern analysis part gave me advice my Fitbit said years ago. Has anyone else paid for an AI productivity tool that mostly just confirms what you already suspected, or am I using it wrong?
