My dad told me my AI art looked like "radio static with shapes" and I can't stop thinking about it
He's 68, not techy at all. He watches me generate stuff on Midjourney and just said that flat out. No malice, just his honest observation. Made me realize maybe I've been focused on the wrong things with these tools. Anyone else had a non-tech person give you feedback that actually made you change your approach?

My grandpa said the same thing about my digital paintings, called them "computer squiggles." It actually made me step back and focus more on composition and lighting instead of just cranking out cool shapes. Did you change anything about your process after that?

That's a pretty harsh line from your dad but also kind of funny. Maybe he just doesn't get the whole AI art thing and it's not that deep. Honestly, people see what they see and it's probably more about his lack of context than your actual work.
