My LLM coding assistant made the bug worse, not better

I spent 3 days letting an AI agent refactor our checkout flow in Austin. It generated clean code, passed tests, looked great. Then a customer hit an edge case and the whole cart froze. The old version had the same bug but the AI added a new layer that hid it during review. I learned to run the AI output against edge cases first, not just happy path. Has anyone else seen AI tools turn a small bug into a bigger one?
