My smart fridge's recipe suggestion feature is a total mess

Last Tuesday, I had some chicken and broccoli in my Samsung Family Hub fridge. The AI suggested a 'creamy chicken and broccoli pasta' but the recipe called for heavy cream I didn't have. I had to run to the store, which defeated the whole 'use what you have' point. Has anyone else had their smart kitchen gadget suggest a recipe that was completely impractical?

Saw an article about this. The cameras just guess what's in your fridge half the time. Kinda useless if it doesn't know what you actually have.

Yeah, the "use what you have" part is the whole point and it totally failed. Did the fridge's camera even see you didn't have cream, or did it just ignore its own inventory? Makes you wonder what data it's actually using.

Feel you on this one. My smart oven once suggested a dish that required an ingredient I'd literally never bought in my life, so either the scanner is magic or it just makes stuff up. Makes you wonder if these things are actually useful or just fancy guesswork.
