Serious question, my dad asked me why I still use a separate app for photo editing

I was showing him some pictures from a trip to Seattle, and he saw me open a different program after I took them. He said, 'Your phone's camera already does that, doesn't it?' and it hit me that the AI inside the camera app now does stuff I used to need a computer for. When did the tools get so good they just disappear into what you're already using?

I used to agree with James, but my phone's auto edits in Seattle looked better than my own.
