Tried an AI recipe generator and it told me to bake a cake at 500 degrees

Last Saturday I was testing this new AI cooking tool from KitchenGPT while making a birthday cake for my nephew in Austin. It gave me a recipe that said bake at 500°F for 12 minutes. The cake came out looking like a charcoal briquette and set off my smoke detector twice. Has anyone else had an AI tool give you completely wrong instructions like this?

Ngl, I used to think AI was gonna take over all the cooking stuff and make it idiot proof. But then I tried one of those recipe bots and it told me to boil pasta for 45 minutes. Totally changed my mind on trusting that stuff blindly.

@carr.brian, that pasta story rings a bell. I read a piece a while back about how those recipe AI's can't really taste or smell, so they just guess based on average internet data. Someone tested one and it told them to add a cup of salt to a cake. Seems like the blind leading the blind with that technology at this point. Your 45 minute pasta boil is probably a classic example of them mixing up normal boil times with a slow cooker timing or something. We're a long way from handing over the kitchen to a bot, that's for sure.
