Update: I switched from feeding my grooming clippers to AI noise removal and the dogs stopped losing their minds
So for the last 8 years at my shop in Boise I've been running a loud old Andis AGC, and half my clients would shake the whole time. I finally tried one of those newer quiet clippers with an AI chip that cancels the blade hum, thinking it was a gimmick, but the difference on a nervous doodle named Biscuit was night and day. The app on the new one learns the pitch of the motor and masks it in real time, so instead of that buzzy drone you get more of a soft fan sound. First cut with it, Biscuit didn't even flinch, and I got a full body trim done in 25 minutes instead of the usual 45 with breaks. I'm not saying AI fixed everything, the blade still gets hot and you still have to know what you're doing with a matted coat. But the noise part alone cut my stress and the dogs' stress way down, and I've had three owners ask what I changed. Anyone else messing with these smart grooming tools, or am I the only one late to this?
