My air fryer saved my whole Tuesday after a power outage killed my stove.

I had a pound of chicken thighs thawed and no way to cook them, so I threw them in the air fryer with just salt, pepper, and a little oil, and they came out perfectly crispy in about 20 minutes, which got me thinking: what other 'emergency' meals have you guys made in yours when normal cooking isn't an option?

Totally feel you on the air fryer being a lifesaver. I once had a fridge die on me and had to cook a whole pack of sausages before they went bad, and that little machine came through. It's amazing how well it handles stuff you'd normally panic about. What did you end up making with the chicken afterwards, just ate it straight or threw it in a salad?

That's a great point about using it to save food from a bad fridge. It really is a little crisis kitchen. I've done the sausage thing too, but also a whole bag of those pre-rolled meatballs. Tossed them in frozen with some jarred sauce at the end, and it was a full meal. The real trick is just treating it like a tiny, super fast oven and not overthinking it.
