My air fryer timer just rolled over to 1,000 total hours of use.

I was cleaning it yesterday and checked the internal timer out of curiosity, and the number really made me pause. I got this unit as a gift three years ago and never thought about how much I'd come to rely on it for everything from quick veggies to whole chickens. Has anyone else's machine logged a surprising amount of time?

Mine hit 750 hours last month and I had the same moment. It basically runs daily for frozen fries or to reheat pizza so it adds up fast. I was surprised how a simple kitchen gadget became such a core part of my routine.

Totally get that. The air fryer just takes over for small tasks. Mine basically lives on the counter now for the same stuff.

Track how many hours you've actually used it by resetting the timer every month, that way you'll know when to really start looking for sales on replacements. I did that after my first one died and it saved me a ton of hassle.
