My brother swore by 400 degrees for frozen fries, but it was a mess
He told me to always cook frozen fries at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, no shaking needed. I tried it with a bag of crinkle cuts and they were burnt on the outside but still cold inside. Now I do 380 for 18 minutes and shake the basket halfway through. What's your go-to temp and time for different frozen foods?

Yeah, the "no shaking needed" advice is a trap I've fallen into before. In my experience, every oven is a little liar about its actual temperature. My old one ran hot, so 400 was a one way ticket to burnt. Now I start most frozen fries at 375, check at 10 minutes, and give them a good shuffle. It's less about a perfect time and more about watching them.
