Remember when we used to deep fry everything? Air fryer wings changed my mind completely

I used to be a deep fryer purist. Nothing beat that crispy skin on chicken wings from a pot of oil. But after my wife got us a small air fryer last christmas, I figured I'd give it a shot. I cooked 20 wings at 380 degrees for 25 minutes and they came out just as crispy with NO greasy mess. The big difference for me is the cleanup. With deep frying I'd have to deal with hot oil disposal and a dirty splattered stovetop. Now I just wipe down the basket and I'm done. Has anyone else switched over from traditional frying and not looked back?

Respectfully, I gotta disagree on this one. I mean, I get the convenience factor and the cleanup is way easier, no argument there. But idk, my air fryer wings always come out a little dry on the inside compared to a good old deep fry. Maybe it's just me but I feel like you lose that juicy texture when you're just blasting them with hot air instead of sealing in the moisture with oil. I've tried different temps and times but I always end up with crispy outside and kinda chewy meat, which just isn't the same to me.

Honestly @elliotjenkins you might be onto something, never thought about it that way before.
