Serious question, is preheating your air fryer actually worth it?
I've been skipping the preheat step for months to save time, but my chicken wings came out soggy every time. I tried preheating for 5 minutes before tossing them in and they finally got that crispy skin I was after. Am I the only one who thought preheating was just a gimmick?

Oh man, I was totally in the same boat. I figured it was just a trick to make the thing seem more like a real oven. My fries were always a bit limp until I gave in and started letting it heat up for a few minutes first. That instant hot air hitting the food right away makes all the difference for getting things crispy.
