Shoutout to the $30 air fryer basket liner I almost didn't buy

I got a fancy air fryer for my birthday but hated cleaning the basket after every use, especially with cheese or sticky sauces. My friend told me to get a set of those silicone liners, and I spent about $30 on them thinking it was a waste. Now I just pop the liner out, wipe it clean, and the basket underneath still looks new. Has anyone found a good liner for really small, single-serving air fryers?

That "pop the liner out and wipe it clean" thing is a game changer. My buddy had the same issue with his mini fryer and found a pack of small liners at a discount store. He says they're a bit flimsy but they save him so much scrubbing time.

Flimsy liners that save scrubbing time? I get wanting to avoid a mess but it's just a mini fryer. How much scrubbing are we really talking about here? A quick wipe with a paper towel does the job for me. Feels like buying special liners is solving a problem that barely exists.

Tbh, that "pack of small liners at a discount store" thing reminded me of something that happened to a buddy of mine last summer. He bought one of those little countertop fryers for his camper van and was so hyped about it, but after like the third use he was complaining about the grease crusting up in the corners. He grabbed a box of cheap foil liners from the dollar store and said they worked okay but they'd tear if he tried to scoop out the food too fast. Honestly, he ended up just using them as a lazy cleanup trick and still had to do a quick rinse after. Ngl, he said it cut his cleaning time from five minutes to like a minute and a half so for him it was worth the flimsy liners. But yeah, for a normal home setup where you're not crammed in a van I get why some people think it's overkill.
