Debate: should you try to fix a cracked engine mount on the line or just swap it out?
Had a Cessna 172 come in last Tuesday with a cracked engine mount on the right side, hairline near the bottom lug. I patched it with a temp repair to get it back in service within 3 hours, but the lead mechanic said I should have just pulled the engine and swapped the mount. Would you risk the downtime for a full swap, or hustle a patch job to keep the plane flying?

Did you actually do a proper temp repair or just slap some speed tape on it?
