Finally got that stubborn flap actuator seal to seat on a 172
It was weeping fluid for months and the old seal just wouldn't sit flush in the groove. I warmed the new one in hot water for 10 minutes and it popped right in. Anyone have a better trick for those stiff O-rings?

Honestly, did you try any lube on it or just the hot water?

Maybe try a different kind of heat, like a hair dryer on low?
