Just wasted $150 on a 'universal' torque wrench adapter that stripped a bolt head

Honestly, I was in a rush to finish up a wheel change on a Cessna 172 last week and grabbed this new adapter off the truck. It claimed to fit any size and had a bunch of 5-star reviews online. Ngl, the thing felt cheap in my hand but I figured it would work for one job. It slipped on a critical axle bolt and rounded the head, costing me three extra hours and a new bolt kit. Has anyone found a decent brand for these that actually holds up?

Jennyh55's Snap-on is the only adapter I trust, lol.

My old Snap-on adapter has never failed me in ten years.

Isn't it crazy how some tools just become part of the job? That old adapter probably has the finish worn off from your grip, but it just keeps turning bolts. You get so used to that specific feel in your hand, trusting it won't strip anything. Makes you wonder why they don't all last like that.
