PSA: The before and after on my tool cart after 2 years of neglect was embarrassing

I finally cleaned out my Snap-on tool cart last Saturday after putting it off since I started at the Gulfstream hangar in 2022. There was a clump of safety wire, three dried up pens, and a 10mm socket I swore I lost hiding under a pile of old work orders. I spent about 45 minutes with Simple Green and a rag, and now I actually find stuff on the first try instead of digging for 5 minutes. Anyone else let their cart get that bad before finally dealing with it?

Got a Milwaukee cart at my shop and honestly I used to be one of those people who thought a messy cart was a sign of being busy, not lazy. Then I spent 20 minutes looking for a 3/8 drive ratchet that was under a stack of rags and a half-eaten protein bar wrapper. Cleaned the whole thing out with some degreaser and a brush, now I actually close the drawers instead of shoving stuff in. Changed my whole view on it, keeping it decent now takes way less time than digging through the mess.

Stick a small magnetic tray on the side for the stuff you grab every day, saves so much digging.
