Rant: The old paperwork system vs the digital switch

I remember back in 2006 at a small hangar in Tulsa, every repair log was handwritten on triplicate forms and it took forever to find anything. Now everything is on tablets and shared drives, but I still feel like I'm losing track of smaller notes and quick fixes. Anyone else think we traded one headache for another with this move?

@cole_patel41 same thing happened to me with a starter issue last month. What finally worked was keeping a simple notebook on my desk for quick notes before they go digital. Jot down the date and the problem, then file the digital copy right after. Cuts down the hunting by a lot, plus you got a backup if the system glitches. Found that fuel valve note you mentioned in like two minutes once I had a running list.

Oh brother, don't get me started. I spent twenty minutes yesterday hunting for a digital note I'd taken about a fuel valve issue, only to find out I'd saved it in the wrong folder.
