Shoutout to that stubborn oil filter gasket I fought for 2 hours

I was doing a routine oil change on a Cessna 172 last Tuesday and the filter gasket just would not seat right. Tried three different gaskets and spent way too long trying to get it to stop leaking. Turned out the mounting surface had a tiny burr I missed on the first look. Anybody else ever fight a simple job for way longer than it should take?

Two hours on a filter gasket sounds about right. I once spent a whole afternoon on a lawn mower blade bolt.

seriously two hours on a filter gasket? i'm all for being thorough but that feels like overkill unless you were fighting a seized bolt or something lol. must've been a pain.
