Stop torquing spark plugs by feel you're not that good

I pulled 4 plugs out of a Cessna 172 yesterday that were all overtorqued by at least 20 ft-lbs because someone thought they could 'feel' it. How many engine jugs have you cracked this year just because you wouldn't walk 10 feet to grab a torque wrench?

Twenty ft-lbs over on an aircraft engine is asking for a catastrophic failure in flight.

oh man this is such a pet peeve of mine. saw a guy at our shop torque head bolts on a dirt bike by feel once and stripped three helicoils out before he figured it out. torque wrench is like ten feet away why risk it
