TIL setting up tool shadows in my home workshop is way harder than at the hangar
Tbh, I've been at it for hours and it's still a mess. Nothing beats the setup we have at work.

Ugh, I feel your pain. Getting those clean tool outlines at home is a real chore. My garage lights cast weird shadows, so nothing lines up right. At the hangar, they have those bright, even lights mounted everywhere. Here, I'm using a shaky lamp and hoping for the best. It's enough to make you want to just pile everything in a drawer.

Actually, hangar lighting is more about placement than raw brightness. Those even shadows come from lights set high and wide, not just being super bright. A couple well placed shop lights can fix those shaky lamp blues.

The clamp on my adjustable arm light kept slipping until I wrapped the joint with a strip of old inner tube for grip. For a cheap diffuser, I taped some crumpled aluminum foil inside a plastic gallon jug and put it over my work light, it softens those harsh lines a lot.
