Customer complaint made me redo all my basement sensor mounts

Had a homeowner in San Antonio tell me last month my recessed door sensors were mounted crooked. At first I brushed it off, but I went back and looked and yeah, three of them were off by maybe 2 degrees. That feedback made me buy a little digital level for my kit and now I check every sensor before I screw it down. It adds maybe 30 seconds per door but the end result looks way cleaner. Anyone else get nitpicky feedback that actually improved their install quality?

A digital level is a game changer for stuff like this. Small fix, big difference in the final look.

Oh man I feel that one so hard. I had a similar thing happen with some outdoor floodlights I installed for a buddy. He pointed out one of them was tilted just a hair and I was like whatever at first but then I saw it from his driveway and it looked terrible. Now I use a little torpedo level on everything too. It's crazy how much cleaner stuff looks when you actually take that extra half minute. I swear half the time we're rushing so much we don't catch the small stuff that makes a big difference. Digital levels are the way to go though I just use a cheap magnetic one and it does the job.
