That time I triggered a silent alarm at a funeral home
Was replacing a panel in the basement of a funeral home last Tuesday and accidentally set off the silent alarm. The director came down and just stared at me for a solid 10 seconds without saying anything. Has anyone else had a job go sideways in a weird location?

That time I triggered a silent alarm at a funeral home" - yeah that's a special kind of awkward. I read somewhere that funeral homes have those alarms because of all the embalming chemicals and expensive equipment in the basement. Makes sense but still creepy. The director staring at you for 10 seconds probably thought you were a ghost or something. I bet he gets prank calls all the time too, people thinking they're clever calling funeral homes. Honestly, working in places where people are dead or dying just seems like a recipe for weird stories.

You know, I used to think those silent alarms in funeral homes were just an urban legend thing... but reading your post about the chemicals and equipment actually makes a lot of sense and kinda changed my mind on it.
