The one thing everyone messes up on wireless motion detectors
I keep seeing installers mount wireless motion detectors right next to metal ductwork or conduit. I caught a guy on a job in Austin last month who had his detector less than 3 inches from a big HVAC return. The interference was cutting his range in half and causing false triggers every 20 minutes. I pulled out my signal tester and showed him the drop from 85% to 40% right there. Anyone else run into this on commercial jobs?
