Wasted $300 on a wireless system that kept dropping signal

I was dead set on going wireless for a house in Austin last summer. Bought a full Honeywell Lynx kit because I thought running wires would take too long. After the third false alarm from signal interference, the homeowner threatened to cancel. Spent 8 hours troubleshooting before I finally ran wires anyway. Ended up returning half the gear and eating a restocking fee. Wireless is fine for small apartments but for a 3,000 sq ft house with brick walls? Never again. Anyone else have a wireless project that just backfired on them?

300 bucks for a Honeywell Lynx? You got off light honestly. I had a customer drop 600 on a 2GIG system for their house with metal roof and stucco walls. Every time the AC kicked on the panel would lose its mind and scream false alarm. After the third police visit they told me to rip it all out or they'd sue. Spent a whole Saturday crawling in the attic running wire and now it works perfect. Wireless is just gambling with your time and the homeowner's patience.

Heard about a neighbor whose wireless sensors kept tripping from their new fridge hum. They finally gave up and paid to have everything hardwired last month.
