Every April from 2019 to 2021 I was out there at 6am shop-vaccing the same 2 inches of water off my basement floor in Red Deer, and every neighbor kept telling me to dig up the weeping tile for $8,000. Turns out the actual culprit was my downspout dumping right at the corner of the foundation, and a $14 flex extension hose fixed what three springs of flooding could not. Has anyone else had a cheap fix solve something everyone swore was a big job?
