New property tax assessment came in way higher than expected

My house in Edmonton got reassessed at $520k but I could barely sell it for $460k right now. Are you guys challenging yours or just paying what they ask?

Heard my buddy challenged his and they dropped it $40k.

@patp79 That's basically the price of a whole new car. Read something about dealers having more room to negotiate now that inventory is up. Worth a shot if you're not in a hurry.
