Why I finally stopped putting off that backyard grading job

Watched my neighbor's basement flood during that big storm last Tuesday after he ignored his low spot for years. Took me 3 hours with a rented skid steer to fix mine the next day. Anyone else have close calls like that after a heavy rain?

Did you always think grading was just cosmetic too? I sure did. Used to laugh at guys messing with their dirt piles. Then that same storm last Tuesday sent water right under my back porch slab. Now I see it different. Water finds its way no matter what.
