Can we talk about how a guy at the Expo turned me around on gravel driveways
I was dead set against gravel for my driveway off Eubank, mostly because I figured it would be a mess after one monsoon season. Then last month at the home show at the fairgrounds I got talking to a landscaper who has been doing drives here since the 80s, and he asked me one thing: did I want a driveway that looks good for two years or one that drains before the water pools at my garage. He pulled out his phone and showed me a driveway he did near Juan Tabo in 2019 that still looked sharp because he put down 4 inches of base and used a angular rock, not round. That part stuck with me, the base matters more than the rock. Now I am pricing it out, so if anyone has a guy who does grading and gravel around the northeast heights, I would love a name.
