Drove 40 minutes for a $9 tube of caulk, forgot the caulk gun

Went to the big box store off Coors for one thing, walked out with a new drill bit set and no caulk. Had to turn around, but the parking lot was so bad I almost cried. Anyone else keep a spare caulk gun in the truck just for those trips?

Stop making excuses for a tool you should already own. If you're driving 40 minutes for caulk, you had plenty of time to check for the gun before you left. A spare in the truck just means you'll forget it twice. Buy one caulk gun, keep it in the same drawer as the caulk tubes, and treat it like a grown-up. The parking lot at that store is always a mess, so that's not news either. You know the drill, you knew what you needed, and you still messed it up. That's not bad luck, that's just not paying attention.
