I finally patched the stucco crack by my front door after 3 years of watching it grow
Three years ago I noticed a hairline crack in the stucco on the southwest side of my house near the front door, and every summer it got a little wider, maybe a quarter inch now. Last Saturday I finally mixed up a small batch of patching compound, cleaned out the crack with a wire brush, and pressed it in with a putty knife, and it took me about 90 minutes total. Should I have gone ahead and painted over it right away, or is it better to let it cure for a few weeks first?
