I finally picked a stucco guy over a brick veneer for my house near UNM
It came down to a $12,000 quote for a classic stucco job from a local crew versus a $15,000 brick veneer package from a big box store. I went with the stucco because the contractor had pictures of work he did on older homes in the Nob Hill area, and he promised it would handle our dry heat better. Honestly, it looks amazing and has held up through two summers without a single crack. Anyone else in the Heights have to make a similar call on exterior finishes?

Nice, that's the smart local pick over the big chain every time.

Yeah, picking local is smart. My buddy saved a ton on his kitchen reno by hiring a small contractor instead of a big box store.

Wow, what a shocker that the big guys charge more.
