Rant: the $90 foam gun that sat in my garage for a year

I bought this foam gun off Amazon back in March, figured it was a gimmick. Used it once on the driveway, thought it was too messy, and shoved it on a shelf. Then last week I used it on our stucco patches before painting the back wall. The foam caught all the low spots I kept missing with a brush, and it cut my prep time down to about 20 minutes total. I still have to go over it with a trowel, but now I'm wondering if I should redo the whole fence with it. Anyone else had a tool they ignored for months that ended up being the right call once you gave it a real chance?
