Replaced all 12 windows in my 1970s bungalow after a brutal windstorm last March and my heating bill dropped $40 a month
Felt that draft for years but kept putting it off until a storm ripped the old aluminum frames apart, now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner - anyone else notice huge savings after swapping to vinyl double-pane windows?

Forty bucks a month adds up fast, why wait for a storm to force your hand?

Respectfully, I see it the other way. Spending forty bucks a month for years on something that might never happen feels like gambling. I'd rather put that money into better insulation or a generator that'll actually help during an outage.
