TIL that pressure washing my driveway made it look worse for a week
Finally rented a pressure washer from the hardware store on San Mateo last Saturday and spent 3 hours blasting my front driveway. It looked amazing for about a day, then all this white residue showed up where the concrete had dried unevenly. Turns out I was holding the nozzle too close and etching the surface in spots. Has anyone else dealt with that weird patchy look after washing?

Yeah THAT white stain happened to me too, just needed a re-wash with the nozzle further back.

You're saying "yeah THAT white stain happened to me too" like it's some common issue, but I've run hundreds of loads with the nozzle in different positions and never once had that problem. People blame the machine or the detergent when really it's probably just how they're loading the drum or overfilling the washer. If you're getting white stains it means you're either using way too much soap or not letting it dissolve before adding clothes. The nozzle position is a total non-factor in my experience, it's just a convenient thing to point at instead of admitting your own habits are the problem. I've tested this exact issue with three different brands of detergent and never got a stain no matter where I put the nozzle. Maybe it's time to look at your water temperature or the type of fabric you're washing instead of blaming the hardware.
