TIL that sealing my concrete patio before summer made a huge difference

I left half of my patio unsealed last year as a test, and the side I sealed still looks new while the other side is all faded and stained from the sun. I used a basic acrylic sealer from the hardware store on Central, and it only took me about two hours to put it on. The sealed part just hoses clean now, and the color is way more even. Has anyone else tried a different kind of sealer here in town that held up better?

The epoxy stuff from that place on 5th lasted me three summers without fading.

Man, that's wild. I bought some from a different spot last year and it was toast by August, just totally washed out and chalky. Three summers is a solid run. Makes you realize how much of that stuff is basically junk right out of the can. Gonna have to check that place out next time I need to seal the patio.
