A simple thank you note at a diner in Omaha made me question every small interaction.
I was having coffee alone, and the waitress just wrote 'thanks :)' on my check. I spent the next hour wondering if she was being nice or if I'd been rude somehow. Does anyone else get stuck on tiny social cues like that?
