Am I the only one who thinks those fancy water bottles are a total scam?

Last fall I dropped $38 on a stainless steel bottle that supposedly kept drinks cold for 24 hours. First day I used it on a hike near Boulder, the water was lukewarm by noon. I even followed the ice cube trick from the website, still didn't work. Has anyone else gotten burned by these overhyped brands or is it just me?
