Changed my mind about needing a perfect schedule for my kid's activities
I spent three months trying to color-code and time-block every minute of my son's week, convinced it was the only way to manage his soccer and piano. A friend finally said, 'Just write it on the fridge calendar, he's 8.' Has anyone else ditched a complex system for something stupid simple?

Remember how much time you spent just updating the system. That energy is better spent actually doing the activities with him. A simple list frees you up to be present instead of managing a project.

Exactly, the list starts bossing you around instead of helping you.

Managing a project" is exactly what a list becomes.
