I compared writing a text versus making a call for a small favor

I spent a day drafting a perfect text to ask my neighbor for a ladder, worrying about every word. I just called instead and it was done in two minutes. Has anyone else gotten stuck in a text loop for something simple?

Just pick up the phone, it saves so much overthinking.

That "stuck in a text loop" thing really hit home for me. I've done that exact same thing before, spending way too long overthinking a simple message. You end up reading and re-reading it, second guessing every word, when a quick call would have solved it in 30 seconds. That teacher pickup story is spot on too. We just get in our own heads about these small interactions for no good reason. Phone calls are underrated for cutting through all that noise.

My kid needed a permission slip signed last week and I wrote three different emails to her teacher before just walking over at pickup. We make these tiny things into such big deals.
