I finally noticed my favorite coffee shop went downhill over 6 months

The espresso used to have this rich crema, now it's thin and bitter ever since they switched suppliers last March. Am I overthinking this or did they really cut corners on the beans?

Yeah but maybe you just got used to good espresso and your taste buds changed more than the beans did.

Can you really un-pick your taste buds from something you loved for years? Because @burns.richard, that's what I figured out with ketchup. I used to drown everything in the sweet store-bought kind, then I tried a fancy local brand with no corn syrup at a barbecue. Now the old stuff tastes like sugary tomato paste to me, and I can't even look at a bottle of the cheap stuff without feeling a little betrayed.
