I think people are wrong about the 'one minute rule' for email replies
I tracked my response time for 30 days and found emails I answered in under a minute had a 40% higher error rate. Now I wait at least five minutes before sending, and my boss said my work is way more accurate. Does anyone else feel rushed by that quick-reply pressure?

Speed matters more than perfection in most email situations.

Glad you tested that. I started forcing myself to read an email twice before hitting send. Cuts down on stupid mistakes big time.

My last email had three typos in the first line, and I only saw them after I sent it. I really need to adopt that read-it-twice rule. My brain just skips over my own mistakes like they're not even there. It's like my eyes see what I meant to type, not what I actually did. I'm trying to slow down, but my fingers get ahead of my brain every single time.
