Just realized I've been reading my coworker's tone all wrong for 6 months
There's this nurse named Jen at the hospital who always gives short, one-word answers during shift handoffs. I thought she was mad at me or just rude. Turns out she's just super focused on getting home to her kid, and last week she brought me a coffee and apologized for being "brief." Has anyone else misread someone's vibe for way too long only to find out it was nothing?

The coffee apology is sweet, it is funny how we make up stories about people. Usually they are just dealing with their own life and not trying to be cold. Glad she cleared the air for you.
