Just realized people don't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're' anymore
Was reading comments on a local Facebook group about garbage pickup schedules in my neighborhood. Like 15 people typed 'your late on the pickup' instead of 'you're'. It's not even hard. I used to think it was just typos but after seeing it in official emails from my apartment manager last month I think it's just how people write now. Does this bug anyone else or am I being too picky about grammar?

This stuff drives me CRAZY but honestly I see it EVERYWHERE now. It's not just "your" and "you're" either. Like people mix up "their" "there" and "they're" all the time in work emails. Saw a sign at a grocery store last week that said "10 items or less" instead of fewer and I just stood there staring at it for a solid minute. The thing is, I think it's a sign of how fast everything is now. Nobody takes time to proofread anything because everyone's rushing from one thing to the next. Even spellcheck doesn't catch these mistakes because technically the word is spelled right just used wrong. It bugs me but I also feel like getting angry about it makes me sound like some old person yelling at clouds, you know?

Does it get worse the more you think about it though? Like even teachers and professors are letting this slide now because they're probably tired of correcting it too. Kinda feels like the language is just shifting under our feet whether we like it or not.
