That $12 caulk gun from Harbor Freight blew apart on me mid-job

I was sealing up a bathroom in Allentown two weeks ago and the plunger rod snapped clean in half on the third bead. Had to drive 20 minutes to grab a better one from a proper hardware store. Anyone else have cheap tools fail at the worst possible time?

I read online Harbor Freight stuff is great until it actually has to work.
