The deadbolt I oiled last month just jammed on my neighbor's kid at 7am

I fixed my front door lock with WD-40 after it stuck twice, then yesterday it froze up completely with a kid stuck outside crying, so should I just replace the whole thing or is there a better fix I'm missing?
