Vent: The parking garage at Westside Mall changed how I parallel park forever

Last Tuesday I was at Westside Mall in building C, level 3, and a guy in a red truck nearly backed into me because I was distracted checking my phone. He didn't even look, just reversed right out. Now I always park at the far end of the lot even if it means walking an extra 5 minutes. Has anyone else had a close call that made you totally change your parking habits?

Start parking backwards so you can pull out forward and actually see what's coming.

Oh man, @rosed32 you're speaking my language. Nothing worse than trying to back out of a tight spot while blind to everything coming at you. I've nearly been clipped twice this month alone by people who clearly never learned this simple trick. Backing in takes an extra 10 seconds now and saves you a world of hassle later. Plus it just looks cooler pulling out like you actually know what you're doing.
