A customer told me my website was hard to read on their phone

I run a small tile shop here in Amarillo, and a regular told me last week they gave up trying to place an order from their phone because the text was too small. I checked it myself and, yeah, it was a mess. Has anyone found a good local web person to help fix mobile stuff without a huge cost?

Check the viewport meta tag in your site's code. That's usually the main thing that breaks mobile layouts.

Might be worth checking your site on a few different screen sizes. Some older phones show things weird compared to newer ones.
